2002 Chrysler Intrepid BaseFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE

Idle Speed

Manufacturer does not list procedure for checking idle speed. Idle speed is controlled by PCM. No adjustment is required. PCM controls Idle Air Control (IAC) motor for proper idle speed. Individual component testing is not available. If Idle Air Control (IAC) motor or wiring circuit failure exists, a DTC may be stored in the powertrain control module. Perform appropriate IAC motor diagnostic test. See DTC P0508: IAC VALVE SENSE CIRCUIT LOW or DTC P0509: IAC VALVE SENSE CIRCUIT HIGH in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - CONCORDE, INTREPID & 300M article.
