Checking System For Trouble Codes
- Using scan tool, read trouble codes and perform appropriate test listed in TROUBLE CODES table. If scan tool displays MAIN RELAY/POWER CIRCUIT FAILURE or VALVE POWER FEED CIRCUIT, go to TEST 14A before proceeding with other tests. If scan tool displays CONTROLLER FAILURE, replace CAB. Perform TEST VER-1A. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE message, go to TEST 34A. If scan tool screen is blank or no trouble codes are displayed, see scan tool manufacturer's instructions. Also check SYSTEM MALFUNCTION table for problems described by customers, with no trouble codes present, and perform appropriate test.
- In some cases, cause of one trouble code may set additional trouble codes. If multiple trouble codes appear on scan tool, trouble code repairs must be performed in order they appear in TROUBLE CODES table. If only one trouble code is set, perform indicated test for that trouble code.
