Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the instrument panel knee bolster assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement .
  3. Detach the instrument wiring harness junction block from the I/P tie bar.
  4. Remove the steering column lower support bracket bolt and upper support bracket nuts and lower the steering column to access the body control module bracket nuts. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
1 Body Control Module Bracket Nut (Qty: 3)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
6.5 N.m (58 lb in)
2 Body Control Module Bracket
Procedure 
After removing the bracket transfer components as necessary.
