Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel rail and fuel injector (1).
  2. Connect the fuel rail and fuel injector connector.
  3. Connect the fuel feed line quick connect fitting to the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Install the positive crankcase ventilation hose. Refer to Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose/Pipe/Tube Replacement .

  5. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  6. Install the fuel rail retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 10 (89 lb in).

  7. Install the intake manifold bracket (2).
  8. Install the 2 intake manifold rear bracket bolts (up) (1) and tighten to 22 (16 lb ft).
  9. Install the intake manifold rear bracket bolt (down) (3) and tighten to 58 (42 lb ft).
  10. Lower the vehicle.
  11. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
