Preliminary Procedure

Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
Remove the ignition key and cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement .

Module Assembly, Theft Deterrent
Tip:

Disconnect the electrical connector.
Program the theft deterrent control module after replacement. Refer to Control Module References .
