Installation Procedure

  1. Install the I/P compartment partially into the opening.
  2. Secure the BCM to the I/P compartment slots
  3. Install the BCM harness connectors.

  4. Route the lamp wiring harness through the lamp opening and connect the wiring harness to the I/P compartment lamp.
  5. Snap the lamp into the compartment bin.
    6. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the I/P compartment bin with fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  7. Install the I/P compartment door. Refer to Door Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  8. Install the right side heater outlet to the I/P compartment bin using the retainers.

  9. Install the closeout panel to the right side lower I/P using the retainers.
  10. Operate the I/P compartment lamp and the I/P compartment door to ensure proper operation.
  11. Program the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
