Safety Warning

Power Windows: Description
Each power window is operated by a single permanent magnet motor. Direction of motor rotations depends on polarity of the voltage applied. All power window motors have a built-in self-resetting circuit breaker.
Lumina APV, Silhouette and Trans Sport models are equipped with an "express down" feature. Pressing the left side window switch once will move driver's window all the way down. All solid state circuitry for this feature is contained within the left side switch.
On Blazer, Jimmy and Suburban, the tailgate window is operated by an internal switch, or a key. When tailgate is open, operation of the window either by switch or key is prevented by a cut-out switch. Circuit is protected by a 30-amp circuit breaker located at fuse block.
