1988 Chevrolet Sprint TurboFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE
ECM Ground Circuits Check
- To check that ECM is grounded to body and transaxle, turn ignition switch off. Disconnect coupler from ECM (under left side of dash).
- Connect an ohmmeter between terminal No. 18 (Black wire) and No. 9 (Black/Green) and body ground. Measure resistance between terminals No. 18 and No. 9 and body. If resistance is zero, ECM is properly grounded.
- If resistance is not zero, check body ground at left kick panel, transaxle ground near gear shift guide case and ECM connections. After ensuring ECM is grounded, reconnect ECM coupler.
