- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Disconnect the trailer brake control module electrical connector.
- Loosen, but do not remove, the trailer brake control module bolts (1).
- Slide the trailer brake control module (1) rearward and remove the trailer brake control module.
NOTE:
It is not necessary to completely remove the bolts.
