Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct ReplacementΒ .
  3. Disconnect the MAF/IAT sensor electrical connector.

CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER CAUTION .

Tighten:Β  9 N.m (80 lb in)

2 Air Cleaner Assembly

Procedure

  1. Reposition the surge tank bypass hose as necessary.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  3. Tilt the assembly rear upward while disengaging the air cleaner isolator.
