Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Memory System
The memory seat and mirror system allows the driver's seat to be set in 4 preset positions: memory 1, memory 2, EXIT 1 and EXIT 2. The Memory Seat Module (MSM) controls movement of 3 seat position motors, 2 lumbar support motors and one recline motor. The Memory Mirror Module (MMM) controls movement of 2 left mirror motors and 2 right mirror motors. All motors have a position sensor, and work independently of each other. MMM receives manual seat operation inputs from left seat switch. MMM then sends a message over the class 2 serial data line to MSM. MSM then supplies voltage to appropriate seat motors.
