1998 Cadillac Seville SLSFACTORY OEM SERVICE PROCEDURE
Power Mirror Memory Inoperative In Any Direction
- If outside mirror system check was performed, go to next step. If outside mirror system check was not performed, go to OUTSIDE MIRROR SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Check for open or short in Red/Black wire between appropriate front door control module and mirror. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If circuit is okay, go to next step. If faulty circuit is found, go to step 5 .
- Check for open or short in Dark Green/Black wire between front door control module and mirror. If circuit is okay, go to next step. If faulty circuit is found, go to step 5 .
- Replace suspect front door control module. See POWER MIRRORS - SEVILLE article. After repairs, recheck system operation.
- Repair faulty wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repairs, recheck system operation.
