Condition

Cause
The Remote Vehicle Start (RVS) system is being disabled due to vehicle speed signal (VSS) detection by the PCM. This is the result of the PCM harness being routed on top of and touching the rear bank spark plug wires.
Tip
This cause can be confirmed using the Tech 2(R) and viewing RVS disable history.
Correction
Reroute the engine compartment PCM harness away from the spark plug wires using the procedure listed below.
Remove the engine sight shield.

Observe the PCM harness (1) touching the plug wires. Remove the generator rear brace.

Reinstall the generator rear brace with the PCM harness (2) routed over the brace as shown.
Tighten
Tighten the generator rear brace bolt and nut to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
Reinstall the engine sight shield.
