- 11 36 Variable Camshaft Timing Control
- 11 36 130 Removing and installing/replacing both VANOS central valves, left (M550i xDrive, 2020-2022)
- Remove the sealing cap on the cylinder head of the cylinder bank 1
- Moving the crankshaft to the installation position to adjust the timings
- Checking the VANOS adjuster of cylinder bank 1
- Relieving the chain tensioner at cylinder bank 1 for checking or setting the valve timings
- Removing hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 1
- Preloading the timing chain of cylinder bank 1
- Fixing the engine in the installation position on cylinder 1 (set valve timings)
- Removing both left VANOS central valves
- Installing both VANOS central valves at left
- Removing the special tool to pretension the tinning chain at cylinder bank 1
