- 11 36 Variable Camshaft Timing Control System (VANOS)
- 11 36 130 Removing and installing/replacing both VANOS central valves, left (750i xDrive 2016-2022)
- Remove the sealing cap on the cylinder head of the cylinder bank 1
- Moving the crankshaft to the installation position to adjust the timings
- Checking the VANOS adjuster of cylinder bank 1
- Relieving the chain tensioner at cylinder bank 1 for checking or setting the valve timings
- Removing hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 1
- Preloading the timing chain of cylinder bank 1
- Fixing the engine in the installation position on cylinder 1 (set valve timings)
- Removing both left VANOS central valves
- Installing both VANOS central valves at left
- Removing the special tool to pretension the timing chain at cylinder bank 1
- Installing the hydraulic chain tensioner of cylinder bank 1
- Install the sealing cap on the cylinder head of cylinder bank 1

- Installing the exhaust camshaft adjuster of cylinders 7 to 12
- Installing intake adjuster of cylinders 7 to 12
- Replace the central bolt
- Secure both central bolts of the VANOS gear
- Install the upper slide rail
- Installing special tool to pre-tension timing chain
- Securing the central bolt of the variable camshaft timing control of the intake
- Securing the central bolt of the variable camshaft timing control of the exhaust

- Installing special tool to pre-tension timing chain
