Selecting & Entering Code
1999 Audi A6 BaseSECTION Selecting & Entering Code
- Central locking system can be coded according to possible function/equipment variations. Optional coding enables vehicle to automatically lock doors when vehicle reaches speed greater than 10 MPH (15 km/h). Interior monitoring system can be coded to either a sedan or station wagon. If scan displays incorrect coding or a new central locking control module is being replaced, go to next step.
- Press 0 then 7 (07) to select code control module function. Press "Q" key to confirm input. RAPID DATA TRANSFER 07-CODE CONTROL MODULE will be displayed. Press "Q" key to confirm input.
- CODE CONTROL MODULE ENTER CODE NUMBER XXXXX (0-32000) will be displayed. For central locking and anti-theft system, enter 15885 (standard coding) or 15917 (optional coding) using numeric key pad of scan tool. For ultrasonic interior monitoring for anti-theft system, enter either 00001 (sedan) or 00002 (station wagon). Press "Q" key to confirm input. Press right arrow key to return to select function display. Exit on-board diagnostics, see FUNCTION MODE 06: EXITING ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICSΒ .
