Resetting the Power Window Control Unit: Procedure

NOTICE:
When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.
Reset the power window control unit after doing any of the following actions:
- Power window regulator and motor replacement, removal, or installation.
- Glass run channel replacement, removal, or installation.
- Door glass replacement, removal, or installation.
- Door control unit replacement.
- Power is disconnected from the driver's power window master switch, front passenger's power window switch or rear power window switches while the power window timer is ON.
- When resetting, use the target power window switch on the power window master switch. When learning, power windows can not be operated from the power window master switch, so use the power window switch of each seat.
- If the front passenger's power window, left rear power window switch, or right rear power window switch has lost power when the vehicle off timer is ON, it cannot be operated from the driver's switch and must be reset from the front passenger's power window switch, left rear power window switch, or right rear power window switch.

Without HDS
Procedure
NOTE:Steps 1-4 must be done within 5 seconds of each other.
1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
2. Press and hold the power window DOWN switch and turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
3. Release the power window DOWN switch.
4. Repeat steps 1-3, three more times.
5. Wait at least 1 second.
NOTE:Confirm that AUTO UP and AUTO DOWN do not work. If AUTO UP and DOWN work, go back to step 1.
6. Move the power window all the way down with the power window DOWN switch of the seat to be reset.
7. Pull up and hold the power window UP switch of the seat to be reset until the window reaches the fully closed position, then continue to hold the switch for at least 1 second.
8. Confirm that the AUTO DOWN/AUTO UP operates properly.
With HDS
Preconditions
Procedure
- Select the following menu buttons on the HDS screen in sequence.

- Body Electrical (System Selection Menu)
- Power Window
- Adjustment
- Power Window Reset for Driver Side (Select the menu button corresponding to the switch to be reset)
- Confirm that the power window control unit is reset by using the power window AUTO UP and AUTO DOWN function.
