2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION Driver's Door
  1. Remove driver's door panel. See DOOR PANELΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect door latch assembly Gray 8-pin connector. Connect power and ground to 8-pin connector terminals No. 2 (White/Red wire) and No. 7 (Yellow/Red wire). See Fig 1 . Reverse polarity. Door lock actuator should lock and unlock. If door lock actuator works properly, go to next step. If door lock actuator does not work properly, replace door latch assembly.
  2. Using DVOM, check continuity between 8-pin connector terminals. With door key cylinder switch in UNLOCK position, continuity should be present between 8-pin harness connector terminals No. 1 (Green/Black wire) and No. 5 (Black wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMSΒ  .
  3. With door key cylinder switch in LOCK position, continuity should be present between 8-pin harness connector terminals No. 4 (Blue/White wire) and No. 5 (Black wire). With door key cylinder switch in OFF position, continuity should not exist. If continuity does not exist as specified, replace door latch assembly.
