Air Conditioning Signal: RSX

2004 Acura 3.5RLSECTION RSX
  1. Turn ignition switch on. Using fused jumper wire, momentarily connect Gray, 31-pin ECM/PCM harness connector terminal No. 18 to White, 31-pin ECM/PCM harness connector terminal No. 24 several times. See Figure . See appropriate wiring diagram under ENGINE PERFORMANCE in WIRING DIAGRAMS. If clicking from A/C clutch is heard, go to next step. If clicking is not heard, go to step Β 3 .
  2. Start engine. Turn blower and A/C switches on. If A/C operates properly, A/C signal is okay. If A/C does not operate properly, update PCM, if it does not have latest software or substitute known-good ECM/PCM, then recheck. If system operates properly, replace original ECM/PCM.
NOTE: When substituting PCM, immobilizer code must be rewritten to replacement PCM using Honda PGM tester, or else engine will not start.
  3. Momentarily connect fused jumper wire between under-hood relay box 14-pin harness connector terminal No. 10 and ground several times. If clicking noise is heard from A/C compressor clutch, repair open in Red wire between under-hood relay box 14-pin harness connector terminal No. 10 and Gray, 31-pin ECM/PCM harness connector terminal No. 18. If clicking noise is not heard from compressor, recheck A/C system for other symptoms. See appropriate AUTOMATIC A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS article in AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING.
