Driver's Window Motor

1998 Acura 3.5RL Special EditionSECTION Driver's Window Motor
  1. Remove driver's door panel. Disconnect door panel connectors. Disconnect window motor 4-pin connector. Using a fused jumper wire, connect battery voltage to window motor connector terminal No. 1. Using another jumper wire, ground terminal No. 2. Window motor should run smoothly UP. When polarity is reversed, window motor should run smoothly DOWN. If window motor runs smoothly in both directions, go to next step. If window motor does not run smoothly in both directions, replace window motor.
  2. Connect test leads of analog ohmmeter between window motor 4-pin connector terminals No. 3 and No. 4. Using fused jumper wires, connect battery voltage to 4-pin connector terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 2. If ohmmeter needle does not swing back and forth while motor operates, replace motor.
