Driver's Position Memory Switch Test

1998 Acura 3.5RL Special EditionSECTION Driver's Position Memory Switch Test

Remove driver's door panel. See DOOR PANELΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect memory switch 10-pin connector. Using an ohmmeter, verify continuity is as specified in DRIVER'S POSITION MEMORY SWITCH CONTINUITYΒ  table. See Fig 1. If memory switch fails any test, replace faulty switch.

Indicator
1 (1) 2 & 4
2 (1) 1 & 4
Illumination (2) 6 & 7
(1) There is a diode in line between terminals. Place ohmmeter negative lead at terminal No. 2 for indicator 1 and terminal No. 1 for indicator 2.
(2) If no continuity exists between terminals No. 6 and 7, ensure Illumination bulb is not burnt out.
