Steering Column Switch Test

1998 Acura 3.5RL Special EditionSECTION Steering Column Switch Test

Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in the ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section. Remove steering column covers. See STEERING COLUMN COVERSΒ  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect steering column switch 7-pin connector and remove switch from steering column lower cover. See Fig 1. Using an ohmmeter, verify continuity is as specified in STEERING COLUMN SWITCH CONTINUITYΒ  table. If switch fails any test, replace faulty switch.
