- Turn ignition off. Disconnect A/C pressure switch. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between PCM terminals B3 and A26. See Figure
. If battery voltage exists, go to step 3). If battery voltage do es not exist, go to next step.NOTE: When substituting a known-good PCM, immobilizer code must be rewritten using Honda PGM tester or engine will not start.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connector "C". Check continuity between ground and PCM terminal B3. If continuity exists, repair shorted wire between PCM terminal B3 and A/C pressure switch or A/C diode. If continuity does not exist, substitute a known-good PCM and recheck for symptom.
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect A/C pressure switch. Turn ignition on. Using a jumper wire, momentarily connect PCM terminals A8 and A26. If A/C compressor clutch clicks, go to step 5). If A/C clutch does not click, go to next step.
- Using a jumper wire, apply ground to Red/Blue wire at A/C clutch relay harness connector. If A/C clutch does not click, other A/C problem exists.
- Start engine, and turn blower on. Turn A/C switch on. If A/C operates, A/C signal is okay. If A/C does not operate, measure voltage between terminals B3 and A26.
