BMW X3 Coolant Type and Capacity
Choose the exact year, engine and cooling circuit. A capacity for one circuit is not a universal X3 fill quantity or the amount to add during a repair.

What the checked tables actually say
For the checked 2020 X3 M40i, the high-temperature circuit lists 11.85 US qt and the low-temperature circuit lists 5.07 US qt. Checked 2020 30i and 30e tables list 11.85 US qt and 4.45 US qt respectively. These are separate listed circuit capacities. A drain, hose repair or top-up may require a different amount; use the applicable filling and bleeding procedure and level check.
