2024 Range Rover 12V battery access
For the 2024 full-size Range Rover (LK), the checked JLR 12V disconnect procedure reaches the main battery ground-cable connection at a front-row seat access cover. On the 3.0L plug-in hybrid, it separately reaches an auxiliary battery connection beneath the loadspace floor. The cargo-floor instruction is not a general main-battery location for every 2024 Range Rover.
What the JLR procedure actually establishes
JLR labels the front-row seat access and battery ground cable steps “All vehicles.” The later loadspace-floor and auxiliary-battery steps apply to the 3.0L petrol PHEV. This is a disconnect procedure; it does not establish the replacement battery size, chemistry, part number, or full removal method.

Identify the exact battery and vehicle by VIN, powertrain and installed equipment. JLR calls for diagnostic checks on certain mild hybrids and restricts the PHEV high-voltage-related procedure to trained technicians. The old version of this page called the battery a rear-cargo AGM and suggested a generic memory saver; the checked JLR procedure does not support those claims. Use JLR’s current procedure and the installed battery identification before choosing parts or tools.
