Corolla oil grades and refill amounts vary by model year and engine. The checked 2020 LE 1.8L gasoline example uses 0W-20, while the checked 2020 SE 2.0L and Hybrid LE examples use 0W-16. The checked 2024 LE 2.0L table lists 0W-8. Confirm your exact vehicle before buying or filling.
Oil-change examples
With a filter change, the checked 2020 SE 2.0L sedan table lists 4.90 US qt, the 2020 Hybrid LE 1.8L lists 4.40 US qt, and the 2024 LE 2.0L lists 4.40 US qt. These are source-specific refill quantities, not a universal Corolla capacity. Follow the applicable procedure and verify the oil level.
For a 2023 Corolla sedan, check your production date and Toyota manual. Toyota's earlier 2023 owner's manual lists 0W-16; the April–May 2023 edition lists 0W-8. The 2023 LE archive below lists 0W-16 but does not identify a build-date range. Do not apply its oil grade to all 2023 Corollas.
